Edward Skaines

Edward Skaines

Creative Director & Company Actor

(Paris, France)

Edward Skaines (He/Him) is a Sydney based actor, recently returning from Los Angeles.

He graduated from the Actors Centre Australia in 2012. There he developed a rich appreciation of skills and techniques in exploring the roles of Randyramoff in Gogol’s The Marriage (2011) directed by Jospeh Uchitel, Feste in Twelth Night(2011) directed by Simon Hunt and Williamson and Roma in David Mamets Glengarry Glen Ross directed by Gale Edwards in his final year.

Since graduating he has continued developing his skills under the mentorship of Joseph Uchitel and more recently, playwrights Stephen Sewell, Noel Hodda. Ed has been involved in several projects ranging from feature films, feature length shorts, creative developments, new experimental physical theatre performances and new Australian play readings.

For the past 6 years Edward has been working with U.S management and industry mentor Lilly Dawson, a casting director from Melbourne, Australia now based in Los Angeles and the Creative Director of the Hollywood Immersive Program. Ed’s work with Lilly, Wendy and Management has built his profile in the United States making Ed a regular name for auditions for episodic season, pilot season, and block buster studios call outs.

Edward has since been in the contending for roles in shows like Teen Wolf, General Hospital, Revenge, The Last Kingdom and Shadow Hunters to name a few.

Ed has been developing under the tutorship of acting coaches Howard Fine, Margie Haber, Ivana Chubbuck, Anthony Brandon Wong and Michael Petted at Beverly Hills Playhouse.

The establishing of Seer Productions has long been in development. Now with the current global landscape in all creative industries Ed saw this as the opportune time to begin creating from his base in Sydney, Australia and to draw on his experience and sow this momentum into constantly flourishing creative goldmine that is Sydney.

Alexandra Kelly

Associate Producer & Company Actor

(Sydney, Australia)

Alex Kelly (She/Her) is a hyphenate - she’s actress, writer and content creator. Trained as an actress and theatre maker, Alex spreads her talents across many disciplines. 

Professionally trained with a Bachelor of Performance from the Australian Institute of Music and Dramatic Arts and a Diploma in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Alex works mainly in independent theatre and film. 

Alex developed her theatre company, Steale Productions in 2016, and produced Whipped (2017) and created Table Manners (2019) as part of the Sydney Fringe Festival. Unfortunately the second run of Table Manners, planned to be performed at PopUpstairs KXT in April 2020 was cancelled due to covid. 

Theatre credits include the 2019 production of Table Manners,  the play reading of Rage Room (Storytellers Festival, Kings Cross Theatre), The Unexpected Guest (Genesian Theatre), deviser and performer for Body and Blood/Words Made Flesh (Melbourne Fringe Festival) and Maid/Assistant Stage Manager for Three Sisters (Sport for Jove). With Steale Productions Alex performed and produced Whipped in 2016 for Sydney Fringe Festival. Additional drama school credits include the title role in King Lear and The Beaux Stratagem (both at LAMDA) as well as Voices, 13, and A Month in the Country (AIMDA) plus various short films.

 Alex has appeared in the Feature Film Zelos (2017) and short film Dyslexia (Lavendar Box Productions) among other short film credits.

 

She brings new works to light as a theatre maker, writer and producer, curating and developing new work with Steale Productions as well as her collaboration with Seer Productions. Her next project will be Bitter/Sweet. 

 

Her passion is to bring stories to life and showcase different aspects of the human experience - from gritty drama to farcical comedy, as well as discovering new emerging artists.
